How to Connect Your Android Phone to Olivet Nazarene University Wi-Fi (ONU)

Olivet Nazarene University provides a secure Wi-Fi network, ONUnet, for students, faculty, and staff. Follow these steps to connect your Android device to the ONU network. (Guests should use the ONUGuest network.)

Steps to Connect

  1. Open Wi-Fi Settings:
    • Swipe down from the top of your screen and tap Wi-Fi, or
    • Swipe down, press and hold the Wi-Fi symbol, or
    • Open the Settings app (found on your home screen or app list).
    • Ensure Wi-Fi is turned on.

 

Select ONU Network:

  • Tap ONU from the list of available networks.

 

3. Configure Network Settings:

  • Set EAP method to PEAP.
  • Set Phase 2 authentication to MSCHAPV2.
  • Set CA certificate to Use system certificates.
  • Enter olivet.edu for the Domain (skip if not visible).
  • For Identity, enter *ONU-AD* followed by your ONUnet username (e.g., ONU-AD\username, without “ @olivet.edu”).
  • Leave Anonymous Identity blank.
  • Enter your ONUnet Password.
  • Under Advanced Options > Privacy, select Use device MAC.

 

4.  Connect:

  • Tap Connect to join the network.

5. Test the Connection:

  • Open a web browser to verify connectivity.
  • If the connection fails, restart your device and reconnect to ONU.
