Changing Your Own Password

Your ONUnet password is your one password for most of Olivet’s online resources.  You will use this password to connect to the wireless, check email and log into your classes.

Password Requirements:

The longer and more complex a password is, the more secure it is.  For that reason, Microsoft has several specific requirements for passwords, including the number and type of characters used.

  • Passwords must be at least 12 characters in length
  • You will also need to include both uppercase and lowercase letters and a number or special character.
    • A – Z
    • a - z
    • 0 – 9
    • @ # $ % ^ & * - _ ! + = [ ] { } | \ : ' , . ? / ` ~ " ( ) ;
    • blank space

After changing my password, what should I do next?

  • If your account was subject to a password reset due to a breach or leak, you will want to change your password on any other site that contains that same password. Compromised Account

Self-Service (Parent-Proxy) Passwords:

Students can grant parents/guardians proxy access to their Self-Service account, which will allow you to see your student's information, download important documents and even make payments.

If you do not have Olivet credentials and you use a proxy number (ex. px1234567) to login, your password will be different.

To reset a parent proxy password, please contact the IT Help Desk.
