Legacy Entertainment Device WiFi (game-stream)

WiFi via “game-stream”

Game-stream is the legacy network used for entertainment devices. This network does not broadcast like normal networks (hidden) and requires additional setup. This network is still available however, ONU-IoT is preferred for new devices. Instructions on how to connect devices to game-stream can be found below:

  1. Find your device’s wireless MAC address (not the wired one). Here’s how.

  2. On your computer or mobile device connected to ONUnet (Olivet ethernet or the WiFi network named “ONU”), visit registermydevice.olivet.edu.

  3. Log in with your ONUnet credentials. (This is your username without @olivet.edu.)

  4. Create a device entry and enter the wireless MAC address. Here’s how.

    • For Apple TV Sharing (Ethernet only): While registering, check “Enable AirGroup” and add your friends’ ONUnet usernames (without @olivet.edu.) so they can connect to your Apple TV.

  5. Wait one full hour before trying to connect. Registration can take some time to process.

  6. After waiting a full hour, manually connect to the hidden “game-stream” network:

    • Choose “Other Network” on your device.
    • Type in “game-stream” as the SSID.
    • Set security to “None” (no password).
