What is Apporto?
Apporto is ONU's virtual computer lab platform that allows students, faculty, and staff to access university-provided software from virtually any device with an internet connection. Instead of needing to be physically present in a campus computer lab, Apporto streams applications directly through your web browser, giving you access to specialized software from anywhere.
Whether you're using a Windows PC, Mac, Chromebook, or Linux device, Apporto provides a consistent experience without requiring VPN access or high-end computer hardware.
- Software includes: Aspen, CREO, GMetrix, and MATLAB.
Benefits of Using Apporto
Access Software Anywhere
Use university applications from home, on campus, or while traveling. Apporto works through a modern web browser, allowing you to access software without being in a physical computer lab.
No High-End Computer Required
Resource-intensive applications run in Apporto's cloud environment, allowing older computers and lower-powered devices to access software that would otherwise require expensive hardware.
Available on Multiple Devices
Apporto supports Windows, macOS, Linux, and Chromebooks. Most users only need an updated web browser such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.
Save and Continue Your Work
Files can be saved during your session, allowing you to continue projects and assignments across multiple devices.
