New Account Setup

Your ONUnet account is used for logging into campus computers, campus wireless, accessing My.Olivet, off-campus library database access, and many other Olivet resources.

Once you have received you username and default password please complete the following setup actions.  If you have your username, but do not know your default password, please contact us.

Step 1 – Personalizing Your ONUnet Password:

  1. Open a web browser and go to https://myaccount.microsoft.com;
  2. Log in with your default password;
    • Example default password “ONU-6789smi”.
    • “ONU” is capitalized; don’t forget the hyphen after “ONU.”
    • Replace “6789” with the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. If those 4 digits do not work, use the last 4 digits of your student ID number.
    • Replace “smi” with the first 3 letters of your last name, lower-case.
  3. Set up at least 2 verification/recovery methods (Microsoft authenticator app / mobile number) for your account if you have not already done so in the previous step. For detailed instructions go to https://it.olivet.edu/self-help/multi-factor-authentication-mfa;
  4. Change your password. https://myaccount.microsoft.com - Select Change Password - Enter default as old password then enter new password twice.

Step 2 – Accessing Your Olivet email

  1. Open a web browser and go to http://email.olivet.edu;
  2. Use your full email address and your ONUnet password;

Step 3 - Submit your photo for your Tiger Card

Your ONU Tiger Card is the photo ID issued to most students, which provides access to secured buildings, your meal plan (if applicable), and a variety of on and off-campus resources and benefits.

  1. Download and install the Transact eAccounts mobile App e accounts icon e accounts Apple App Store  e accounts Google Play Store
  2. Select ONU (Olivet Nazarene University) from the list of schools;
  3. Tap "ONU Login" and then "Continue to Sign in";
  4. Enter your Olivet email address and password;
  5. Select the gear icon upper right-hand corner and then tap "Submit ID Photo" and follow the instructions;
  6. Check your Olivet email for confirmation and approval of your photo submission.

If you do not have a mobile phone you may follow the directions below.

  1. Using a computer, open a browser and go to olivet.edu/eaccounts;
  2. Click "Sign in" and then enter your Olivet email address and password;
  3. Click “Profile” on the ribbon at the top of the page, then click the blue link that says “Click to submit a new photo” and follow the instructions;
  4. Check your Olivet email for confirmation and approval of your photo submission.

All passwords should be kept confidential; we will never ask for your password. Do not give it to anyone.
