How to Connect

ONU

Most devices require only these 3 steps:

  1. In your device's Wi-Fi settings, select the “ONU” network .

  2. Enter your Olivet username and password. (username is without “@olivet.edu.”)

  3. Select “Trust” or “Connect” (depending on your device) if prompted for a Wi-Fi certificate.

If the above steps do not work, your device may require special steps to connect to “ONU.” (Android devices and Chromebooks often fall under this category.)

  1. Open Wi-Fi Settings. (may vary by device)

  2. Ensure Wi-Fi is turned on, then tap “ONU.”

  1. Set up the following settings:
  • Identity: ONU-AD\yourusername (username is without “@olivet.edu.” Use back slash, not forward slash.)
  • Password: (your Olivet email password)
  • CA certificate: Use system certificates
  • Domain: olivet.edu
  • EAP method: PEAP
  • Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
  • Anonymous identity: (leave blank)
  • MAC address type: Phone MAC (or Device MAC)
  1. Tap “Connect.”

If you have difficulty connecting, try restarting your device and reconnecting to ONU.

ONUGuest

If you do have ONU credentials, you will not be able to use this network. If you tried connecting to this network previously, you will need to select “forget this network” in order to avoid network interference.
  • Select the “ONUGuest” network in your device's Wi-Fi settings.

  • Open a web browser and complete the self-registration form.

Wi-Fi access is valid for 24 hours. For longer stays, please repeat registration after each 24-hour session expires.

game-stream

All gaming consoles and smart devices (Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, smart TVs, streaming devices, etc.) must be registered through Entertainment Device Registration before connecting to the hidden network named “game-stream.” This ensures your entertainment device can access the network correctly.
